Obituary for Sharon L. Miller (Glotfelter)

Sharon L. Miller, 71, of Centre Twp., passed away in her residence on Thursday, August 27, 2014. She was the wife of Carl D. Miller, who died in 2003.
Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Hector and Hilda (Mengle) Glotfelter. She was a 1961 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and attended Reading Hospital School of Nursing. Sharon worked as a licensed practical nurse for 37 1/2 years for St. Joseph Medical Center, retiring in 2009. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Free Church, Leesport. Sharon was a avid Philadelphia Phillies fan; and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting.
Sharon is survived by two daughters: Lori A. (Miller), wife of Thomas Rehrig, Centre Twp.; and Debra A. (Miller) Rehrig, Centerport; four grandchildren: Matthew, Rebecca, Rachel and Kyle; and one great-grandson: Levi. She is also survived by one sister: Anne M. Kline, Harrisburg; and was predeceased by a step-brother: Harry Felty, Jr.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Tuesday 1:00 to 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter, 321 Norristown Road, Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002.
