Pauline K.  Wagner (Rentschler)
Pauline K. Wagner, 97, formerly of Centerport, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 on ManorCare, Laureldale. She was the wife of Morris F. Wagner, who died August 25, 2008. They were married on August 27, 1938.
Born in Tilden Twp., she was the daughter of the late Daniel N. and Mary A. (Kauffman) Rentschler, Pauline first worked for Burkey Underwear Company, Diener's Knitting Mill, and Crown Knitting Mill. She then worked in the cafeteria for twenty years for the Schuylkill Valley School District; eighteen years at the Centre Township school; and then two years at Schuylkill Valley High School, retiring June 1983. Pauline is a member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Twp. She is a life member of Central Berks Fire Company and beneficial association, Centerport; and member of Ontelaunee Grange, Centerport Sunday School, Centerport Flower Club, Shoemakersville Senior Citizens, Schuylkill Valley Retirees, and Conrad Weiser Chapter 449 Order of Easter Star. Pauline enjoyed gardening, her flower beds, and playing
boom-bas with the senior citizens.
Pauline is survived by three sons: Gerald L. Wagner, and his wife Anna, Lenhartsville; Larry L. Wagner, and his wife Kathy, Shoemakersville; and Bruce A. Wagner, and his wife Ann, Riverview Park; three grandchildren: Donna, Debra and Jason; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister: Arlene K. (Rentschler) Degler, Muhlenberg Twp. She was predeceased by two brothers: Stanley and Arthur Rentschler.
Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Sunday 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 am. Order of Eastern Star service will be held on Sunday at 7:00 pm.
