Obituary for Paul R. Seidel

Paul R.  Seidel
Paul R. Seidel, 85, of Perry Twp., died Monday, June 4, 2018 in his residence. He was the husband of the late Mary A. (Moyer) Seidel, died October 2, 2016.
Born in Windsor Twp., he was the son of the late Arlan R. and Verna E. (Seip) Seidel. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Wolfe Dye and Bleach, Shoemakersville for about 30 years, later working from 1974-1999 at Glen-Gery Brick as a Kiln Fireman. He was a member of Wagner-Good Post No. 216 VFW, Hamburg, and Behler-Hein Post No. 637 American Legion, Hamburg, Virginville Grange, and Shoemakersville Fire Company. He enjoyed playing fast pitch softball until age 40, and had served as president of the Blue Mountain Softball League. He enjoyed watching baseball, and going to casinos.
Paul is survived by four sons: Gene P. Seidel, and wife Patricia, Lake Wynonah; Scott A. Seidel, and wife Jackie, Glendale, Arizona; Troy S. Seidel, and wife Beverly, Auburn; and Christopher L. Seidel, and wife Deanna, Roxbury, Connecticut; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother: Harold M. husband of Ruth Seidel, Windsor Twp., and a sister: Dorothy J. Seidel, Frackville. He was predeceased by a brother: Donald J. Seidel. He was also predeceased by a son: Ted W. Seidel.
Services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 1:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp.
