Obituary for Patrick E. Cahill

Patrick E. Cahill, 75, of Upper Bern Twp., died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in his residence. He was the husband of Patricia J. (Moyer) Cahill.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Albert and Margaret (Schraedly) Cahill. Patrick worked as a carpenter as Friends Central School, Philadelphia for 15 years, retiring in 2005. When his children were young, he was a Boy Scout Leader in Upper Darby. He was a member of Shartlesville Lions Club, Shartlesville Fire Company, and Shartlesville Gun Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and motorcycles. Patrick loves his family, they were everything to him.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons: Kenneth A. Cahill, husband of Mary, Glenolden, PA, Dean P. Cahill, husband of Joanne, Oxford, PA, and Steven C. Cahill companion of Cindy, Ridley, PA; two daughters: Judith L. (Cahill) Hodges wife of Glenn, Breinigsville, and Deborah L. Cahill, fiance of Glenn, Coatesville; fourteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Patrick was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Rita, Richard "Dick", John "Jack", and Albert.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:00 am from Frieden's Church, 28 Wolf Creek Rd., Bernville, PA 19506. A visitation with the family will be held in the church from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Patrick's wish was to have his body donated to science through Humanity Gifts Registry,Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: Shartlesville Lions Club, 3450 Mountain Road M-85, Hamburg, PA 19526.
