Obituary for Mary E. Wiemann (White)
Mary Elizabeth Wiemann, 81, of Leesport, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 in the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Joseph J. Wiemann, Jr. They were married on November 4, 1960 and celebrated fifty-seven years of marriage.
Born in Morgantown, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Frank Alden and Mary Magdalene (Koontz) White. She worked as a sales person and bookkeeper for Kay Jewelers in the Fairgrounds Mall and Berkshire Mall. Mary was a volunteer and EMT for the Leesport Ambulance and would volunteer at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Leesport. She enjoyed reading, embroidery, sewing and making barbie doll clothes.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters: Cindy Hope (Wiemann), wife of John Derk, Leesport; and Sandra Diane (Wiemann), wife of Shoen Davis, Mount Vernon, Indiana; four grandchildren: Elizabeth Polce, Shoen Davis II, Justin Davis, and Chasity Sklavonivich; and two great-grandchildren: Josh Miller and Alia Davis. Mary is also survived by two step-grandchildren: Tyler Derk and Karrah Derk; and one step-great-grandchild: Fletcher Derk. She was predeceased by a son: Frankie Wiemann.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Schuylkill Valley Community Library, 1310 Washington Road, Leesport, PA 19533, in memory of Mary E. Wiemann.
