Obituary for Margaret M. Geist (Nolen)
Margaret M. Geist, 68, of Perry Twp., passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in the Reading Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Henry W. Geist. They were married on September 5, 1980 and celebrated thirty-seven years of marriage.
Born in Lansdale, she was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Tustin) Nolen. She was a graduate of Lansdale Catholic High School and attended nursing school. Margaret worked as a nurse's aide for Topton Lutheran Home. She was a member of Zion's Church, Windsor Castle, where she was a volunteer and a member of the Prime Timers. Margaret was also a member of Ruscombmanor Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered at the Hamburg Area Middle School; enjoyed doing crafts; making wedding candles; and going camping and fishing. Margaret especially enjoyed taking care of her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband is one son: Andrew J. Geist, Tilden Twp.; one daughter: Elizabeth A. Geist, Shoemakersville; and four grandchildren: Abigail, Aleena, Tyler and Jordyn.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Longswamp Twp. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home Tuesday 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport, PA 19533 to assist the family with final expenses.
