Lynda J.  Kline (Schappell)
Lynda J. Kline, 72, of West Reading, died Friday, January 16, 2015 in her residence. She was the wife of Harold W. Kline, they were married December 7, 1959 and celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow W. and Anna E. (Kehr) Schappell. Lynda was a 1960 graduate of Perry High School. She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Reading. Lynda was employed as a retail clerk for Vanity Fair, retiring in 2013. She was a member of Shoemakersville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and a former member of Shoemakersville Jaycee Wives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two children; a son: Michael A. husband of Karin L. (Akam) Kline, Woodbridge, VA; and a daughter: Deborah A. (Kline) Strausser fiancé of Chris E. Lewis, Tamaqua; five grandchildren: Jay R. Strausser, Neal A. Strausser, Elizabeth A. Kline, Gregory M. Kline, and Matthew W. Kline; and two great-grandchildren: Aubrey D. Strausser, and Parker J. Strausser.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., and Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.
