Obituary for Lyle M. Frederick

Lyle M. Frederick, 95, of Shoemakersville, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. He was the husband of Irene D. (Wright) Frederick.
Born in Sugarloaf, Luzerne County, he was the son of the late Harold and Laura (Knorr) Frederick. Lyle was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He and his brother owned and operated a Carvel ice cream shoppe in Shoemakersville. Lyle then worked at Brush Wellman, Perry Twp., until his retirement. He was a member of St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville. Lyle was a life member of the Shoemakersville Fire Company and a life member of the Perry Game Association. He was also a member of Shoemakersville Senior Citizens and Behler-Hein American Legion Post 637, Hamburg.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one son: Wayne Frederick, and his wife Wanda, Holly, Louisiana; son-in-law: Bob Lee, and his wife Carol, Schuylkill Haven; and step-grandchildren. Lyle was predeceased by a daughter: Donna (Frederick) Lee; four brothers: Leroy, Cleo, Richard and Floyd; and three sisters: Shirley, Evalyn, and Marion.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Paul's (Red Rock) Cemetery, Sugarloaf. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements. For online condolences, please visit, www.leibenspergerfuneralhomes.com.
