June V. Harner, 94, of Shoemakersville, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Raymond H. Harner, who died on November 15, 1976.
Born in Mount Carmel, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Dorothy M. (Moyer) Coveleski. She first worked at the Acme Paper Box Factory in Shoemakersville. June then worked at Globe Underwear Company; and retired in 1974 from Mayfair, both of Shoemakersville. She attended St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville. June was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Shoemakersville Fire Company.
June is survived by one daughter: Virginia D. (Harner), widow of George K. Grim, Shoemakersville and with whom she resided; one son: Raymond R. Harner, Temple; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by a sister: Dorothy A. (Coveleski) Reichert. June was predeceased by a son: Charles J. Harner, died August 13, 2017; and two brothers: Charles and Jacob Coveleski.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home Tuesday 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
