Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Erma (Kershner) Rocktashel. Jayne was predeceased by her husband of sixty-eight enjoyable years, Wesley C. Jayne was a graduate of Reading High School. She was a licensed practical nurse at the Reading Hospital, E-3 North (Pediatrics) for twenty-three years; and loved to care for the children.
