Obituary for Esther K. Weber (Kauffman)
Esther K. Weber, 94, of Muhlenberg Twp. and formerly of Mohrsville, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Mifflin Center, Shillington. She was the wife of Calvin M. Weber, who died March 21, 2007.
Born in Mohrsville, she was the daughter of the late Orlando E. and Bessie M. (Bagenstose) Kauffman. She was a graduate of Ontelaunee School and attended business school. Esther first worked for seventeen years for the Globe Underwear Company, Shoemakersville. She then worked for eighteen years for Barta Berks Federal Credit Union until her retirement. Esther was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Twp., where she was a choir member, treasurer of the adult Sunday school, and aid society member.
She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Shoemakersville Fire Company. Esther enjoyed reading and spending time with her faithful companion Mollie.
Esther is survived by her daughter: Janice L. (Weber) Kozik, Muhlenberg Twp.; two grandsons: Michael Kozik, Jr.; and Jason Kozik, and his wife Emily; and two great-grandchildren: Paige and Tyler. She was predeceased by her sister: Erma A. (Kauffman) Bailey.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Belleman's Church Endowment Fund, 3540 Belleman's Church Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541.
