Obituary for Doris J. Huff (Shappell)

Doris J. Huff, 79, of Leesport, passed away in her residence on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. She was the widow of Glenn L. Huff, Sr. to whom she was married for fifty wonderful years.
Born January 12, 1939 in Perry Twp., she was the tenth of twelve children of the late Clarence L. and Mary (Keim) Shappell.
Together, she and Glenn raised four children: Glenn L. Huff, Jr. (deceased); Jeffrey S. Huff, husband of Cheryl Huff, Dillsburg, York Co.; Beth Anne (Huff) Angstadt (deceased); and Lisa M. (Huff), wife of John M. Eline, Leesport. There are seven grandchildren: Kristen Sfameni, Andrew Huff, Shelly Huff, Rebecca Keller, Jordon Angstadt, Jared Huff, and Rachel Huff Doria. Then there are the closest to her heart, the great-grandkids: Logan Thomas White (who was her Friday night sleep-over for eight years and made her happy beyond words); and the seven magical girls, each one as beautiful and lovable as could be: Abby and Annie Keller; Lia and Kira Sfameni; Hayley Angstadt; Hailee Huff; and Kaydence Huff. Doris loved spending time with them and cherished every moment. She is also survived by her son-in-law: Clay P. Angstadt; brother: Warren "Wolly" Shappell and his wife Shirley, Reading; sister: Kathryn (Shappell) Shade, Lyons; sister-in-law: Lorraine Shappell, Tennessee. She was predeceased by a brother: Ralph Shappell.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A visitation will be held in the funeral home Friday 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
