Dawn L.  Christman (Lau)
Dawn L. Christman, 69, of Perry Twp., passed away in her residence on Sunday, February 25, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Earl P. Christman. They were married on February 28, 1970 and would have celebrated forty-eight years of marriage.
Born at home on N. Centre Avenue in Leesport, she was the daughter of the late Stuart and Luceile (Sieger) Lau and step-daughter of the late Helen Lau. Dawn was a 1966 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School and also completed courses in banking. Dawn worked for the Leesport Bank for more than thirty years, last working as the Leesport branch manager. She was a member of Zion's Church, Windsor Castle, where she a volunteer and member of the Prime Timers. Dawn was a member of the Shoemakersville Senior Citizens where she enjoyed line dancing. She also enjoyed Zumba and other exercise classes; playing with her puppy Abby; being outside and working on her flower beds; and going to the shore. Dawn especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her twin daughters: Kelly S. (Christman), wife of Donald Weston, III, Sinking Spring; and Connie L. (Christman), wife of John Garrigan, Bernville; and two granddaughters: Cara and Madeline. Dawn is also survived by her brother: Kenneth Lau, Patten, Maine; and her sister: Patricia (Lau), wife of Nelson Roth, York.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery, Ontelaunee Twp. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home Wednesday 9:30 to 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to Zion's Church, 770 Zion's Church Road, Hamburg, PA 19526.
