Obituary for Dale A. Wenger

Dale A. Wenger, 61, of Upper Bern Twp., passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 in his residence. He was the husband of Debra J. (Miller) Wenger. They were married on June 8, 1974 and celebrated forty years of marriage.
Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late H. Daniel and Emma (Gingrich) Wenger. He was a 1971 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. Dale owned and operated Mountain View Supply in Upper Bern Township. He was a member of Whispering Pines Hunting Camp, Tioga County. Dale enjoyed hunting and watching Penn State football. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters: Stacy L. (Wenger), wife of Michael Holderbach, Conshohocken; and Danielle L. (Wenger), wife of Michael DiNorscia, San Diego, California; two grandsons: Jax and Mason; one brother: Larry Wenger, and his wife Beatrice, Upper Bern Twp.; one sister: Janice, wife of Rodney Loeb, Upper Bern Twp.; and sister-in-law: Janet Wenger. Dale was predeceased by a brother: Gary Wenger.
Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Church and Pine Streets, Hamburg. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport and Friday 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church. Memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, PA 19605. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Leesport is in charge of arrangements.
