Obituary for Carl E. Bubbenmoyer

Carl E. Bubbenmoyer, 88, of Edenburg, Windsor Twp., passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018, in Kutztown Manor. He was the husband of Shirley E. (Turner) Bubbenmoyer. They were married on January 10, 1955 and celebrated sixty-three years of marriage.
Born in Shoemakersville, he was the son of the late Mahlon and Bertha (Stine) Bubbenmoyer. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War. Carl worked for the Department of Transportation for 24 1/2 years. He also did carpentry and electrical work. Carl was the caretaker at the Edenburg Park for many years. He was a member of Union Fire Company No. 1, Hamburg and beneficial association; and the Kutztown Fire Company. Carl enjoyed camping.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two brothers: Harold Bubbenmoyer, in North Carolina and Wayne Bubbenmoyer, in California; and one sister: Elsie (Bubbenmoyer) Fox, Hamburg. Carl was predeceased by two brothers: Charles and William Bubbenmoyer; and three sisters: Dorothy Mengel, Mary Kramer and Annie Fidler.
Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Saturday 9:00 to 10:30 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to Alzheimer's Association, 237 Court Street, Reading, PA 19601.
