Brenden T. Forrest, 21, of Windsor Twp., passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Windsor Twp.
Born in Abington, PA. He was the son of Keith and Michelle O. (Poindexter) Forrest, of Windsor Twp. Brenden worked as a truck driver for S & S Leasing, Hamburg, PA. He was a 2012 graduate of Hamburg Area High School where he was a stand-out athlete in football and basketball. Brenden received many honors during his athletic career. In 2010, he was named to the Western Lehigh Exchange Club all tournament team; named BCFCA Berks Football League Section 2 First Team Defensive Back and Wide Receiver (2011); named BCFCA Berks Football League Section 2 Receiver of the Year (2011); Offensive MVP for Hamburg Area Football First Team (2011); and 2nd place Football Combine Vertical Jump Competition (2010); among many other honors. While in high school, Brenden loved participating in track, basketball and football; but basketball was by far his favorite sport. He enjoyed coaching and helping younger athletes and was a role model and mentor to many. Brenden's motto was "look good, feel good, play good." He had a vibrant personality and was full of life. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Brenden was always very helpful and a "Mr. Fix-it". If something was broken, he could fix it. Brenden attended The Bridge Church, Windsor Twp. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Brenden is survived by one brother: Chris L. Poindexter; and one sister: Chelsea O. Forrest, both of Windsor Twp.; paternal grandparents: Charles Forrest and Shirley Forrest; and maternal step-grandmother: Marjorie Poindexter, all of Philadelphia; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 12:00 noon from The Bridge Church, 3561 Old 22, Hamburg. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 9, from 10:00am to 12:00 noon in the church. Everyone attending the celebration is encouraged to wear white or vibrant colors in honor of Brenden. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Brenden T. Forrest Memorial Fund, c/o Wells Fargo Bank, 26 S. 4th Street, Hamburg, PA 19526.
