Obituary for Betty J. Roth (Wolfe)

Betty J. Roth, 95, formerly of Mohrsville, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015 in ManorCare, Laureldale. She was the wife of Herbert E. Roth, who died May 4, 1995.
Born in Port Carbon, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Robert M. and Cora M. (Bagenstose) Wolfe. She graduated from Ontelaunee Vocational School. Betty worked as a sewing machine operator for forty-one years for the former Crown Knitting Mill until retiring in 1985. She was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Twp. Betty was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Shoemakersville Fire Company.
Betty is survived by three sons: Nelson R. Roth, and his wife Pat, York; Lew A. Roth, and his wife Linda, Leesport; and H. Bruce Roth, and his wife Diana, Ontelaunee; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons. She was predeceased by a daughter: Marcia A. (Roth) Plucker; a brother: Robert M. Wolfe; a sister: Edith M. Loose; and three step-sisters: Alberta Sterling; Luella Blatt; and Sara Brubaker.
Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery, Shoemakersville. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 am. Please omit flowers.
