Anna M.  Herber (Hummel)
Anna M. Herber, 93, of Hamburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in the Laurel Center where she was since Thursday. She was the wife of Lloyd W. Herber who died on August 23, 2010. They were married on June 6, 1942.
Born in Greenwich Twp., she was the daughter of the late Calvin J. and Ellen R. (Kershner) Hummel. Anna worked as an aide at the Hamburg Center for 22 1/2 years. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. Anna was a former member of Frieden's Church, Lenhartsville, for over sixty years. She was a member of the Hamburg Senior Citizens; and the Retired Public Employees of Pennsylvania, AFSCME Chapter 13. Anna enjoyed sitting outside on South 4th Street in Hamburg with her "Bench Bunch" friends. Over the years, she enjoyed cross stitch, going out to eat and getting her hair done. Anna especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Anna is survived by her two daughters: Faye E. (Herber) Miller, wife of Larry D. Miller, Mohrsville; and Dianne K. (Herber) Leibensperger, widow of M. Domer Leibensperger, Hamburg; six grandchildren: Michael L. Miller, husband of Stephanie M. (Harbonic) Miller; Kevin A. Miller; Donna M. Leibensperger Parr, wife of Christopher L. Parr; Della M. (Leibensperger) Kennedy, wife of Todd J. Kennedy; Debra M. (Leibensperger) Klokis, wife of Todd M. Klokis; and Derek M.D. Leibensperger, husband of Andrea M. (Stetzler) Leibensperger; and twelve great-grandchildren: Hayden and Avery Miller; Aaron, Jacob and Adam Miller; Ava and Lily Parr; Ethan and Anabel Kennedy; Henry and Roslyn Klokis; and Calvin Leibensperger. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her brother: Clarence J. Hummel; and her infant sister: Laila C. Hummel.
Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Friday 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday 9:30 to 10:30 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. John's Ev.
