Obituary for Edna M. Kloeffel (Holben)
Edna M. Kloeffel, 82, of Ontelaunee Twp., died Thursday, March 2, 2017 in her residence. She was the wife of Kendrick Kloeffel, Sr. They were marriend April 21, 1956 and celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Born in Huffs Church, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Mabel Holben. Edna was a member of St. John's (Gernant's) Church, Ontelaunee Twp. She was worked in a shoe factory in Kutztown before she was married. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing word searches, and enjoyed volunteering for the church dinners.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons: Kendrick Kloeffel, Jr., in Florida, Dennis E. Kloeffel, Mohrsville; two daughters: Barbara A. (Kloeffel), wife of Richard W. Parznik, Shoemakersville, Janet L. (Kloeffel) Firestone, Temple; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by a son-in-law: Howard Delp, Robesonia. Edna was predeceased by two daughters: Joan M. Kloeffel, died 1982, and Nancy J. (Kloeffel) Delp, died January 24, 2017; a son-in-law: Raymond Firestone; a brother: Paul Holben; and two sisters: Anna (Holben) Kutz, and Lillian (Holben) Ohlinger.
Services will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will follow in Gernant's Cemetery, Ontelaunee Twp. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: St. John's (Gernant's) Church, 13 Gernant's Church Road, Leesport, PA 19533.
