Obituary for Martin Alfiero Jr.

Martin Alfiero, Jr., 79, of Lake Wynonah, Schuylkill Co., passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Judith A. (Schaeffer) Alfiero, to whom he was married for thirty-one years.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Martin, Sr. and Clara (Garipoli) Alfiero. Martin was a graduate of Reading High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Martin was a self-employed painter. He was a member of Reading Lodge #549 F&AM Masonic Lodge, West Reading. Martin was an avid trapshooter for over forty years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters: Michele Schultz, wife of John Schultz, California; Kristy Alfiero, Sinking Spring; and Susan Hunt, Muhlenberg Twp.; four grandchildren: Max, Emma, Nick and Jordyn; and one sister: Clara Hartline, Exeter. Martin was predeceased by two brothers: Francis and Carmel Alfiero.
Memorial services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A service by Reading Lodge #549 will be at 10:45 am.
