Anna M.  Groff (Miller)
Anna M. Groff, 78, of Hamburg, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 in Orwigsburg Center, where she resided for three years. She was the wife of Robert E. Groff, who died August 6, 2004.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Carl Miller and Ellen (Arms) Miller Bittle. Anna worked for over twenty years in the housekeeping department of the Hamburg Center until her retirement. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. Anna was also a member of Women of the Moose #786, Hamburg. She enjoyed bingo, baking, collecting carousels, and was an Elvis fan.
Anna is survived by her children: Brenda L. (Groff), wife of Randy Kauffman, LaPorte, Texas; Dennis A. Groff, Hamburg; and Jeffrey L. Groff, and his companion Cheryl Martin, Bernville; five grandchildren: Connor, Kyle, Angie, Jodi and Dennis, Jr.; and five great-grandchildren: BreAnna, Tyler, Presley, Isaac, and Noah. She is also survived by two brothers: Gary Miller, Lebanon; and Glenn "Peanut" Miller, and his wife Phyllis, Hamburg; and one sister: Shirley (Miller) Collinson, in Florida. Anna was predeceased by a brother: Dennis Miller.
Anna's family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Orwigsburg Center and Compassus Hospice for the care given to her.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Tuesday 7:00 to 8:30 pm; and Wednesday 10:00 to 10:30 am. A Women of the Moose service will be held Tuesday at 8:00 pm.
