Obituary for Jean I. Huntsberger
Jean I. Huntsberger, 90, of Windsor Twp., died Saturday October 1, 2016 in Orwigsburg Center. She was the wife of Abner R. Huntsberger, Jr. They were married June 16, 1946 and celebrated 70 years of marriage.
Born in Strausstown, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Carrie M. (Henne) Ketner. She was a member of Zion (Blue Mountain) U.C.C. Strausstown. She graduated from Hamburg High School in 1944, and attended Bryland Beauty School in Reading. She worked as a seamstress for Anthony’s Hosiery, Strausstown & Hamburg. Jean loved to collect Hummel’s and dolls, and always enjoyed traveling to casinos.
Surviving in addition to her husband are brothers and sisters: Ruth M. (Ketner) Zerbe, Strausstown, Larry Ketner, Valley Forge, Dale Ketner, Wolmelsdorf, and Vera M (Ketner) Breidigan, Strausstown. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
