Obituary for Luigi A. "Louie" Liguoro

Luigi A. Liguoro, "Louie", 53, of Shoemakersville, passed away in his residence on Saturday, September 24, 2016.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the beloved son of Francesca (Giuliana) Liguoro, and the late Carmine Liguoro. Louie was a 1980 graduate of Hamburg Area High School and attended technical school for two years. He was involved in the family restaurant business. Louie was loved by everyone and had a big personality.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his children: Alisia M. Liguoro, Schuylkill Haven; and Michael A. Liguoro, St. Clair; one brother: Alfredo G. Liguoro, and his wife Susan K. (Shrom) Liguoro, Windsor Twp.; and one sister: JoMarie (Liguoro), wife of Stefano Panella, Rome, Italy. Louie is also survived by three nephews: Carmine, Antonio, and Valerio; one niece: Gulia; one great-niece: Giuliana; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am from The Bridge Church, 3561 Old 22, Hamburg. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held on Wednesday 6:00 to 9:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport; and Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
