Betty J.  Reppert (Engle)
Betty Jane Reppert, 85, of Tilden Twp., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 19, 2016 in her residence. She went peacefully into the arms of Jesus surrounded by her family who deeply loved her. Betty was the devoted and loving wife of James C. Reppert who died January 16, 2010. They were married on December 13, 1947.
Betty was the daughter of the late William and Mabel (Rubright) Engle. She first worked as a bookeeper for Clayton Reppert Excavating. Betty also worked for Candy Creations, the former Pot of Gold Restaurant, Harmony Hill Assisted Living; and Golden Ridge Assisted Living, until retiring July 30, 2004. Her most important vocation was being a devoted homemaker and mother. Betty had a contagious laugh that was enjoyed by everyone. She was so special that she made everyone she met feel special. Betty was an active member of The Bridge Church, Hamburg, where she was involved with the Gatekeepers and Young at Heart groups. She enjoyed cooking, baking, flowers and crocheting. Betty especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her children: Cheryl A. (Reppert), wife of Carl P. Giorgio, Bethel; Dianne R. (Reppert), widow of Raymond Redner, Shoemakersville; and Randy J. Reppert, husband of Sharon A. (Stemme) Reppert, Tilden Twp., seven grandchildren: Darrin Giorgio, Devvin Giorgio, Andrew Raugh, Mark Raugh, Randy Reppert II, James Reppert, and Michelle Arrendondolopez; ten great-grandchildren: Sabrina Giorgio, Justin Reppert, Kyle Reppert, Alexander Arrendondolopez, Mia Arrendondolopez, Timothy Raugh, Jaidyn Reppert, Alisha Ferretti, Josiah Reppert and Devin Gerhart; and an eleventh great-grandchild expected any day; and one great-great-grandson: Ezekiel Gerhart. She is also survived by her siblings: William Engle, Jr. and Joanne Stine, both of Muhlenberg Twp. Betty was predeceased by two sisters: Marian Reppert and Mildred Miller.
Services will be held on Monday, September 26, at 11:00 am from The Bridge Church, 3561 Old 22, Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held at the church Monday 9:30 to 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to The Bridge Church at the above address.
