Matthew R.  Folk
Matthew R. Folk, 37, of Cumru Twp., passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016. He was the husband of Angela R. (Adam) Folk, whom he married on May 8, 2004.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of Ronnie C. Folk, husband of Lynn A. (Kingkinger) Folk, Bernville; and Debbie J. (Werner) Stine, wife of Matthew A. Stine, Leesport. He was a 1997 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. Matt was the co-owner of Ronnie C. Folk Paving, Inc., Shoemakersville. He enjoyed weightlifting and health and fitness. Matt was a devoted and loving father and husband. His son Collin was the light in his eyes. He enjoyed attending his sporting events and was always on the side of the mat as Collin wrestled.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents is his son: Collin A. Folk; brother: Dustin M. Folk, husband of Rebecca L. (Henne) Folk, Shoemakersville; and sister: Dena M. (Folk), wife of Lance A. Duncan, Shoemakersville. Matt loved his nephews and niece: Preston, Parker, Paxton, Cassandra, Zachary, and Damion. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents: Larry A. and Jean A. (Buchta) Werner, Florida; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Dean A. and Rosanne R. (Hummel) Adam, Perry Twp.; and sister-in-law: April (Adam) Krumanocker, wife of Dean Krumanocker. Matt was predeceased by his paternal grandparents: Carl L. and Verna S. (Schappell) Folk.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 6:00 pm from Zion's Church, 770 Zion's Church Road, Hamburg. A visitation with the family will be held in the church Tuesday 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
