Tammy L.  Hamm (Henn)
Tammy L. (Henn) Hamm, 48, of Hamburg, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016 in her residence. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Hinkle.
Born in West Reading on May 19, 1968, she was the daughter of Charles W., Jr. and Darlene A. (Snyder) Henn, Hamburg. Tammy was a 1987 graduate of Hamburg Area High School, where she was a member of the bowling team and portrayed the hawk mascot her senior year. She was a claims support specialist II for Erie Insurance, Bethlehem. Tammy first worked for Essick and Barr Insurance, Hamburg. She was a member of Jacob's Church, New Tripoli. Tammy was a member of Women of the Moose #786, Hamburg, where she was a life member, Past Regeant, Recorder, Junior Regeant and Youth Awareness Chairperson. She was also a Past Deputy Grand Regeant for the International Women of the Moose. Tammy earner her 25 Club of the 75th Division of the Moose. She was a former Sunday School teacher at St. John's (Gernant's) Church, Ontelaunee Twp.; and helped with confirmation class at Jacob's Church while her daughter Heather was in class. Tammy was a member of the fire police for Alsace Manor Fire Company. She was active with the Central Berks Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society; and was named honorary chairperson of the 2016 Central Berks Relay for Life. Tammy enjoyed word search and attending the activities of her niece, nephew and granddaughter.
Surviving in addition to her parents is a daughter: Heather (Hamm), wife of Bradley Klitsch, New Tripoli; grandchildren: Shaelyn and Braedon Klitsch; one sister: Tracy S. (Henn), wife of Keith Briskey, Pine Grove; and niece and nephew: Sierra and Brady Briskey. Tammy is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is the god-mother to Brady Briskey and Kelsea DePano.
A public viewing will be held on Sunday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A Women of the Moose service will be held during the viewing. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family, with burial in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery, Ontelaunee Twp.
