Marrietta J.  Himmelberger (Stewart)
Marrietta J. Himmelberger, 85, of Orange City, Florida; and formerly of Hamburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. She was the wife of Kenneth L. Himmelberger, who died February 28, 1998.
Born in Cherryville, Northampton Co., she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Mabel E. (Kohler) Stewart. She worked for Post Precision Castings Co., Strausstown, from 1980-1995. Marrietta was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hamburg. She was also a member Women of the Moose, Hamburg; Hamburg Game Association; Behler-Hein Post #637 American Legion, Hamburg; and Shoemakersville Fire Company.
Marrietta is survived by two daughters: Sheila M. (Stamm), wife of George A. Phillips, Hamburg; and Mary A. (Stamm), wife of Robert W. Schmehl, Orange City, Fla.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a step-son: Edward L. Himmelberger, and his wife Patricia, Bernville; a step-daughter: Lisa Jane Himmelberger; and four sisters: Lillian L. (Stewart), wife of Michael Hopko, Pottsville; Margaret L. (Stewart), widow of Charles Donne, Tilden Twp.; Mabel M. (Stewart), widow of Donald Stoudt, Upper Bern Twp.; and Martha E. (Stewart), wife of Richard Kohler, Shoemakersville. Marrietta was predeceased by a son: Leonard E. Stamm, died October 17, 1952; and a daughter: Laurie D. (Stamm) Mort, died May 5, 2014.
Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Sunday 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
