Obituary for John C. Fisher

John C.  Fisher
John C. Fisher, 76, of Shoemakersville, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Judy L. (Yocom) Fisher. They were married on August 25, 1962 and celebrated fifty-three years of marriage.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John F. and Dorothy S. (Fasig) Fisher. He was a 1958 graduate of Perry High School. John worked as an auto mechanic for Met-Ed. He was a member of St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville. John was also a member of Puritan Lodge #549 F. & A.M., a life member of Shoemakersville Fire Company and Auxiliary; member or Perry Game Association; and a member and past president of the former Shoemakersville Jaycees. He was a Dale Earnhardt fan and attended many NASCAR races. John also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters: Tammy L. (Fisher) Seitzinger, fiance of Frank LoRusso, Perry Twp.; Holly A. (Fisher), wife of Philip Klahold, Leesport; and Heather A. (Fisher), wife of Jason Berger, Shoemakersville; and seven grandchildren: Talon, Bailey, Luigi, Brock, Bryce, Dane, and Isabella. John was predeceased by a granddaughter: Taylor N. Seitzinger, who died in 2009.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:00 am. Puritan Masonic Lodge service will be held on Wednesday prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Luke's Church, Fifth and Franklin Streets, Shoemakersville, PA 19555.
