Debbie L. Gundrum, 55, of Tilden Twp., died Thursday, January 14, 2016 in her residence. She was the wife of Blane E. Gundrum. They were married September 26, 1982 and celebrated 33 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of James and Jane (Lizak) Richards, Laureldale. She graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1978, and later from Bryland School of Cosmetology as a cosmetologist. She was a member of Zion’s Church, Perry Twp. Debbie owned and operated Standing Ovation Dancewear, Perry Twp., for a number of years, and had previously worked as a hairdresser at Holiday Hair. Debbie was very involved at her church, enjoyed flowers, and ceramics. She absolutely loved her grandchildren and was always excited to be a “doting Grandmom,” or “Majsha.”

Surviving in addition to her parents and her husband are two children; a son: Devin J. husband of Rebecca E. (Whiteman) Gundrum, West Lawn; a daughter: Tiffany J. (Gundrum) wife of Kris A. Guitas, Bethel Twp.; and three grandchildren: Levi James Gundrum, Lyriq Marie Guitas, and Layne Kristopher Guitas. She is also survived by a sister: Kathy (Richards) Freund, Maryland.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 11:30 AM in Zion’s Church, 770 Zion’s Church Rd., Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will follow in Zion’s Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 in the church. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
