Shirley M. Dreibelbis, 79, of Perry Twp., passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015 in the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Willard S. Dreibelbis. They were married on June 4, 1955 and celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. and Malara (Holben) Danner. She was a 1954 graduate of Kutztown High School. Shirley first worked as a secretary for Camp and McGuinnes, Reading for six years. She then worked as a waitress at the Windsor Diner for eleven years; and last worked for the Kwik Shoppe, Shoemakersville, for thirty-six years, retiring in June 2010. Shirley also worked for twenty years as a consultant for Candleland Parties, receiving top sales honors for several years. She was a member of Zion's Church, Windsor Castle, and their Prime Timers group. Shirley was also a member of Virginville Grange #1832; Blue Mountain Chapter #443 Order of Eastern Star, Hamburg; and the Shoemakersville Senior Citizens. She enjoyed going to casinos, playing bingo and cards, and hoe-downing and dancing in her younger years.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons: Rodney A., husband of Sheila (Cronrath) Dreibelbis, Perry Twp.; Jeffrey S., husband of Margie (Boyer) Dreibelbis, Perry Twp.; and Kirk D., husband of Dawn (Reinert) Dreibelbis, Richmond Twp.; three grandchildren: Michael Dreibelbis, Stephen Dreibelbis, and Stephanie Honeycutt; and five great-grandchildren: Jordan, Kayla and Brooklyn Honeycutt; and Kameron and Ragan Dreibelbis. Shirley is also survived by one brother: Wilson Danner, Alburtis. She was predeceased by one brother: Charles Danner; and five sisters: Anna Reppert, Lena Spatz, Gladys Yerger, Marie Danner, and Helen Moyer.
Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:45 am. Order of Eastern Star Services will be at 10:45 am.
