Obituary for Mahlon A. Kerschner

Mahlon A. Kerschner, 90, of Birdsboro, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in ManorCare, Laureldale. He was the husband of Vera M. (Hein) Kerschner. In June, they were married for sixty years.
Born in Maidencreek, he was the son of the late Irvin and Della (Sterner) Kerschner. Mahlon was a truck driver for Mason-Dixon Lines, retiring in 1991.
Mahlon was inducted in the RSCA Historical Hall of Fame on August 7, 2013.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one son: Scott A. Kerschner, wife of Patricia (Moyer) Kerschner, Bernville; two granddaughters: Chastitee A. (Kerschner) Long; and Melanie B. Kerschner; and four great-grandchildren: Haden, Connor, Charlie and Emily. Mahlon is also survived by one brother: Paul Kerschner; and four sisters: Fern M. (Kerschner), wife of Raymond Stricker; Verna A. (Kerschner), wife of Earl Moser; Ruth M. (Kerschner), wife of Sterling Schappell; and Dorothy (Kerschner), wife of Paul Heckman. He was predeceased by three brothers: Curits J. Kerschner; Clarence Kerschner; and Harvey Kerschner; and one sister: Edna S. (Kerschner) Hoffert.
