William W.  Dinkel Jr.
William W. Dinkel, Jr., 72, formerly of Hamburg, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015 in St. Joseph Medical Center.
Born in Newport News, Virginia, he was the son of June F. (Fenstermacher) Dinkel, a resident of Pinebrook Personal Care Center; and the late William W. Dinkel, Sr. Bill was a 1960 graduate of Hamburg High School. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves; and was a former member of First United Church of Christ, Hamburg.
Bill was a life-long fan of "oldies" music from the 50's and 60's with expert knowledge of artists, song titles and record labels. He had a huge collection of vinyl 45 records and could tell you anything you might have wanted to know about each one of them.
Surviving in addition to his mother is one sister: Kimball A. (Dinkel), wife of Richard L. Zerr, Windsor Twp.; and one niece: Tana K. (Zerr), wife of Daniel Connolly, Gilbertsville. Bill was predeceased by a sister: Susan K. (Dinkel) Kissinger.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements. For online condolences, please visit, www.leibenspergerfuneralhomes.com.
