Larry R.  Swoyer
Larry R. Swoyer, 67, of Windsor Twp., passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in his residence. He was the husband of Donna L. (Borkey) Swoyer. They were married on October 22, 1977 and celebrated thirty-seven years of marriage.
Born in Leesport, he was the son of the late Stewart and Thelma (Drumheller) Swoyer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War; and served as a dog sentry handler. Larry worked for Molly Anchors in Temple for thirty-five years. He then worked for Black and Decker for one year; and last worked as a custodian for Muhlenberg School District for ten years. Larry and Donna enjoyed being members of the PT Cruiser Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one daughter: Teresa A., wife of Terry Blatt, Auburn; two granddaughters: Ashbyilyin J.M. Blatt and Alexis J. Blatt; and one great-granddaughter: Caydence M. Blatt. Larry is also survived by his nephew: Jamie Swoyer and his wife Pat; mother-in-law: Arlene A. (Kline) Borkey; sister: Christine Heffner, Exeter; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother: Stewart L. Swoyer. Larry will be missed by his two greyhounds and three cats.
Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial with military honors will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Monday 9:30 to 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to First State Greyhound Rescue, Inc., P.O. Box 67, Blandon, PA 19510.
