William C. Raezer, 74, of Yoder Heights, Tilden Twp., died Thursday, July 5, 2012 in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Sandra Ann (Bohn) Raezer. They were married on February 14, 1961 and celebrated 51 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late William H. and Pauline E. (Rothermel) Raezer. He was a U.S. Army veteran. William worked as a custodian for the Hamburg Area School District from 1970-1993. He worked most of his career at Perry Elementary School, Shoemakersville, and worked for one year at the Hamburg Area High School, until his retirement. He was a member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Twp. William was a member of Virginville Grange #1832. He enjoyed cooking and baking; going for breakfast, and teasing his granddaughters. He also enjoyed remodeling the house.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Donald W. Raezer, and his companion Penny Jones, Tilden Twp.; and Terry L., husband of Diane (Adams) Raezer, Alsace Twp.; one daughter: Annette L. Raezer, Kenhorst; and two granddaughters: Liza M. Raezer and Andrea L. Raezer. William is also survived by one brother: Richard Raezer, and his wife Nancy, Reinholds; and eight sisters: Virginia, wife of Gary Romig, Birdsboro; Shirley, wife of Donald Davis, Bernville; Barbara, wife of Lester Blankenbiller, Mohnton; Patricia, wife of Earl Williams, Laureldale; Janice, widow of Barry Koch, Hamburg; Mary, wife of Carlo Marghartio, Reading; June, wife of Leroy Ulrich, Shillington; and Sandra Mervine, Lebanon; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be on Monday at 8:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will be at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Monday 6:00 to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Virginville Grange #1832, P.O.
