Wayne E. Mengel, 73, of Windsor Twp., passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 in his residence. Born in Windsor Twp., he was the son of the late Calvin J. and Naomi S. (Sunday) Mengel. Wayne worked on his family's dairy farm for a number of years, later working on Rick Phillips' dairy farm. Wayne worked at Hamburg Center in the kitchen and also the boiler room before retiring December 27, 2014. He enjoyed working on his car and his truck. Wayne is survived by his siblings: Mylan H. Mengel, husband of Jean, Windsor Twp., Charles E. Mengel, husband of Betty, Windsor Twp., Mildred N. (Mengel) Shollenberger, wife of Milton, Tilden Twp., and Raelyn A. (Mengel) Mertz, wife of John, Maxatawny Twp. He was predeceased by siblings: Lester T. Mengel, Calvin S. Mengel, husband of Shirley, Roy E. Mengel, husband of Mary, Elva C. (Mengel) Hartman, and Ruth E. (Mengel) Heckman. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:00 am from Zion's Church, 770 Zion Church Road, Hamburg, PA 19526.
