Virginia M. Miller, 81, of Centerport, died Monday, September 30, 2013 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp. She was the wife of Harold S. Miller, Sr., died April 13, 2005.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Earl S. and Esther P. (Messer) Fox. Virginia worked as a dishwasher at the Perry Bar. She then worked as a seamstress for the Globe Knitting Mill, Shoemakersville; and retired from the Crown Knitting Mill in Mohrsville. Virginia was an avid Philadelphia Flyers fan. She enjoyed spending time with her lady friends on a Tuesday; playing bingo and cards; and puzzle books. Virginia also enjoyed going to the Thursday night jam sessions at the Central Berks Lions Club in Centerport.
Virginia is survived by two sons: Harold S. Miller, Jr., and his wife Sally, West Brunswick Twp., Schuylkill Co.; and Earl R. Miller, and his wife Ann, Centre Twp.; two daughters: Linda E. (Miller), wife of Michael Stewart, Centerport; and Leah R. (Miller) Hoster, Centre Twp.; nine grandchildren: Lonnie, Robert, Christy, Stacey, Kerry, Elizabeth, Danielle, Damian, and Adrienne; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother: Earl "Red" Fox, a resident at ManorCare, Sinking Spring. She was predeceased by a brother: Leonard Fox.
Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
