Vickie Susann Shirk, 61, of Ontelaunee Twp., passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 in her residence after a courageous five-month battle with cancer. Vickie was a 1970 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. She worked as a nurse's aide for more than thirty years for the Hamburg Center until her retirement. Vickie is survived by her life-long companion of 44 years: Pat A. Moyer; and three siblings: Timothy P. and Thomas G. Shirk; and Tracy E. Yeager; and families. Vickie will be greatly missed by her dogs: Elliot, Riley and Oliver, who she adored and treated like her kids. Special thanks to Dr. Sana Chaudhry, all the people from Caring Hospice Services, and Vicki, Tracy, Mel and Loretta for all their help during the past weeks. There will be no viewing or funeral services by the wishes of Vickie.
