Vickie Ann Folk, 71, of Wayne Twp., Schuylkill Co., passed away on Sunday, May 12 in her residence.

Vickie was preceded in death by her mother Grace M. (Himmelberger) Schaeffer, her father Herbert H. Schaeffer, her younger brother and sister: Barry L. Schaeffer and Teresa L. Schaeffer, grandparents, aunts, uncles and inl-aws.

Vickie is survived by her husband of 52 1/2 years, William J. Folk, Jr. whom she married on November 20, 1971, a daughter Krista (Folk) Staller, wife of Paul B., Michigan, a son William (BJ) J. Folk, III, husband of Keri J., Wayne Twp., granddaughter Mackenzie Leigh (Staller) Maskell, wife of Seth, North Carolina and granddaughter Sophie Lee Folk, Wayne Twp. She is also survived by a younger brother Neil A. Schaeffer, Hamburg.

Vickie was a 1970 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. After graduation, she attended banking classes at Reading Area Community College and basic computer training at Schuylkill Technical Center.

Vickie worked 18+ years in the banking industry starting her career at Hamburg Savings & Trust, followed by Pennsylvania National Bank, Schuylkill Haven Trust Co., and M&T Banks. She later worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for various businesses in the area before retiring from Ethel Maid, Inc.

Vickie totally enjoyed scrapbooking and any time she could spend with her husband, family and friends. She cherished every minute she could devote to her granddaughters who brought overwhelming joy into her life. As Krista and BJ were growing up, Vickie enjoyed serving the various sports teams and activities they participated in as a team mom.

Vickie was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Orwigsburg and the Orwigsburg Chapter #424 Order of Eastern Star.
