Verna M. Christman, 85, of Perry Twp., died Sunday, February 10, 2013 in the Reading Hospital, where she was a patient for seven days. She was the wife of Paul R. Christman, died September 16, 2001 Born in Weisenberg Twp., Lehigh Co., she was the daughter of the late Homer B. and Mary (Henninger) Zimmerman. She worked on the family dairy farm in Perry Twp. until 1988. Verna enjoyed watching the Phillies and college basketball on TV and going out for breakfast every morning. Verna is survived by three sons: Earl P., husband of Dawn (Lau) Christman, Perry Twp., Francis H., husband of Linda (Mast) Christman, Perry Twp.; and Richard P., husband of Cindi (Bensinger) Christman, Auburn; two daughters: Janice M. Christman, Bernville; and Anna L. Christman, Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter-in-law: Dottie (Reed) Christman, Schuylkill Haven; fourteen grandchildren: Connie, Kelly, Brett, Peter, Michael, Jessica, Melissa, Jason, Justin, Joseph, Nathan, Micah, Tylor, and Alorah; and twelve great-grandchildren: Cara, Madeline, Julianna, Allyssa, Kiley, Zachary, Austin, Codey, Mackenzie, Kyle, Chaslyn, and Jaydin. She is also survived by one brother: Carl Zimmerman, Allentown. Verna was predeceased by a son: Robert W. Christman, in 2012; and a grandson: Jeremy A. Christman, in 2003. Services will be on Thursday at 11:00 am from Zion's Church, 770 Zion's Church Road, Hamburg. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp.
