Verna A. Carter, 74, of Perry Twp. died Sunday, January 3, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest. She was the wife of Edward L. Carter for 55 years.

Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary (Leone) Lentini. Verna worked for the family business, Write Way Distributors, for 20 years. She enjoyed crafts, flowers, birds, gardening, traveling, playing cards with family and friends, and her cat (Little Bit). But most of all, she loved being a Grandma.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons: Edward J. husband of Beth L. (Frey) Carter, Ephrata, Ronald J. Carter, Sydney, Australia, and Michael J. husband of Lisa M. (Koch) Carter, Pine Grove; and a grandson: Austin M. Carter. She is also survived by two brothers: Joseph A. Lentini and Richard F. Lentini; and a sister: Gloria A. (Lentini) Gullottii; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, Pa 19533.
