Valerie E. Schlottman, 27, of Kutztown, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp., Lehigh Co.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of Dale R. Schlottman, husband of Susan M. (Katzaman) Schlottman, Shoemakersville; and the late Emma S. (Kamp) Schlottman. Valerie was a 2003 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. She worked as veterinarian technician for Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic, Kutztown.

Valerie was a member of St. John's Church, Port Clinton. She enjoyed working with and caring for animals.

Surviving in addition to her father and step-mother is one brother: Jarred M. Schlottman, Hamburg; maternal grandfather: Arlan W. Kamp, Hamburg; and paternal grandmother: Mary Lou (Miller), wife of Warren Schlottman, Parrish, Florida. She was predeceased by her mother: Emma S. (Kamp) Schlottman, died July 24, 2007; maternal grandmother: Juan L. (Barr) Mengel; and paternal grandfather: Rodney A. Schlottman.

Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will be in Becker's St. Peter's Cemetery, Richmond Twp.
