Obituary

Tricia Cramer, 44, Runner

Tricia "Trish" Cramer, 44, a runner who discovered her passion late in life, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014 in her Hamburg residence.

Trish grew up fast, graduating high school with a diploma and a child; but loved learning and never gave up on her dream to graduate from college.

With the early support of her grandmother and family, Trish found herself working a full time job to support her family and herself as a college student. Her love for learning never waned, from graduating Magna Cum Lade from Devry University, she went on to learn more about technology and health.

As a single mother she went on to own a home, which she selflessly gave to a loved one; and build several computers that are still being used today.

Trish moved from Ohio to Pennsylvania where she began working for public schools; Quakertown School District and BCIU of Berks County. She loved working in the school system and loved the people who worked with her.

Later in life she found running, and a passionate runner was born. Within a few years, she had lost over 100 pounds and ran several 50-mile trail races. Trish found her true love in running, and nearly had a race every weekend.

Trish was an amazing mother, friend and an inspiration to many.

Many of her friends and family have said: If you caught her eye and she smiled at you, you would love her from that moment on.

I don't think her personality could be captured in a better way.

She is survived by her daughter Jillian Dotson; boyfriend Donald Mengel and his daughter Katie Mengel; grandmother Marilyn Coakley; father Paul Dotson; brother Brad (Siobhan) Dotson, Sean, Janet, and Cian; sister Lori (Carl) Hale, Neil, Tarin, Emmalee, Ava; friends Rachel Lantz and Austin Westerman, and dog Lucy. She was predeceased by her mother: Deanna S. (Coakley) Dotson.
