Obituary

Tommy E. Curtis, of Hamburg, died peacefully at home on Monday, December 13, 2021. Tommy was raised in Temple. He was a graduate of Muhlenberg Twp. High School and Bloomsburg University. Tommy served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He served as a Chaplains Assistant, rising to SP5 before his transfer to the Army Reserve in 1970. Tommy was employed by Muhlenberg School District teaching at C.E. Cole. He also worked for Berks County as a career counselor. Tommy is survived by his 5 siblings: Terry Curtis (Clista), Danny Curtis (Lois), John Curtis (Carol), Christine Wert (Allen) and Patty Montorsi (Robert); two nieces: Andrea Clipsham of Morgantown and Allison Lau of Vancouver, BC; and two nephews, Steven and Kevin Curtis of Naperville, Illinois. His favorite pastimes were breeding and raising Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs and throwing pottery. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 9:00 am at Forest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Rescue Foundation, 19010 70th Ave East, Bradenton, FL 34211.
