Thomas G. Tinley, Jr., 96, a resident at Laurel Center, Tilden Twp., and formerly of Centre Twp., passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 in Laurel Center. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth J. "Betty" (Graeff) Tinley. She passed away February 27, 2021.

Born in Boothwyn, PA he was the son of the late Thomas G. Tinley, Sr., and Catherine (Campbell) Tinley. He was a US Army Veteran during WWII. Thomas was a member of St. John's (Gernant's) Church. He worked as a truck driver, then in construction, and his last job was at the Berks County Courthouse in maintenance. He enjoyed car racing, visiting the shore in Delaware, and tinkering with wood, building cars and trucks.

He is survived by two nieces: Sandy Arbuckle, Millsboro, DE; and Ella Zimmerman, Laureldale. He was predeceased by a sister: Emily Elizabeth "Betty" (Tinley) Stephenson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will follow in Leesport Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
