Thomas L. Ogden, 69, of Shoemakersville, died Saturday, January 4, 2014 in St. Joseph Medical Center.
Born in Shoemakersville, he was the son of the late Keith Ogden and Dorothy (Madeira) Odgen. He was a graduate of Perry High School. Thomas was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He first worked for Glen-Gery Corporation, Shoemakersville; and then worked as a propane delivery man for Berks Gas and Grill, Mt. Pleasant. Thomas was known as "Tommy O". He enjoyed hunting with his son and friends, fishing, watching TV - especially The Weather Channel, and going to the ocean. Thomas was a member of the Hamburg Game Association and Behler-Hein Post #637 American Legion, Hamburg.
Thomas is survived by one daughter: Tara L. Ogden, Spring City; one son: Aaron B. Ogden, and his wife Kim, Auburn; and one grandson: Gabriel. He is also survived by two brothers: Richard Ogden, Shartlesville; and Howard Ogden, Kempton; one sister: Mary Ogden, Macungie; and his former wife: Kathy Robaton, Millsboro, DE. Thomas loved his grand-dogs.
A Memorial Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg.
