Thomas R. Baver, 84, of Shoemakersville, formerly of Riverview Park, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 in the home he shared with his long time companion, Grace M. Trabosh. Tom was a 1949 graduate of Hamburg High School. Born in Hamburg, September 16, 1931, he was the son of the late John A. Baver and Ethel (Ashmead) Baver. He is predeceased by 5 brothers: Alfred, Arthur, David, John and Theodore; and 1 sister: Margaret. Tom served in the U.S. Army as a surveyor in Alaska during the Korean Conflict. After returning to Hamburg, he worked as a floor tile installer before taking a position as a Sales Manager for Prudential Life Insurance. Tom went on to become Sales Manager for Hamburg Broom Works later becoming President of that company for 17 years before retiring in 1989. Tom is survived by 3 nephews and 2 nieces. Also, his long time companion, Grace M. Trabosh; her son, Daniel Trabosh; and grandson, Dylan Trabosh, survive Tom.
