Obituary

Theodore S. "Pete" Cormier, 83, of Bern Twp., passed away peacefully with his wife Sandy by his side as well as his special cat Cinnamon on Monday, December 18, 2023 in Keystone Villa, Douglassville. He was the husband of Sandra L. (Wagner) Cormier. They were married April 3, 1981 and celebrated 42 years of marriage.

Born in Gillis, LA, he was the son of the late Claude J. Cormier, Sr., and Frances F. (McSherry) Cormier. Pete graduated from Gillis High School, Gillis, LA in 1959; and later from Northwestern State University, with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Science. Pete was a US Navy Veteran. He worked for 30 years as a State Farm Agent in Bern Township. He enjoyed tinkering, doing projects, and could often be found outside and wearing bib overalls.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a sister: Marle M. (Cormier) Babin, Louisiana; and a brother: Robert N. Cormier, Alabama; and life long friends: Glenn Talbert and Rodney Rougeau in Louisiana. He was predeceased by his siblings: Claude J. Cormier, Jr., Noah F. Cormier, Richard H. Cormier, Allen R. Cormier, and Herman R. Cormier.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Leesport is in charge of arrangements.
