Obituary
Terry Lee Schappell, 60, of Perry Twp., died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Hayden C. and Mildred L. (Bowers) Schappell. He was a 1969 graduate of Hamburg High School. Terry was a Mercedes Benz representative for Tom Masano, Inc., Reading. He was a member of the Sports Car Club of America. Terry was a racing enthusiast.
Terry is survived by two brothers: Dennis H., husband of Barbara Schappell, Windsor Twp.; and Robbie, husband of Melissa Schappell, Allentown; one sister: Cindy A. (Schappell), wife of Brian Stewarts, Catasauqua; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service celebrating Terry's life will be held on Saturday at 11:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg (off street parking in rear). A visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to American Diabetes Association, 3544 North Progress Avenue, Suite 103, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Delaware Valley Chapter, 30 South 17th Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
