Tammy L. Budwash (Scherer), 52, of Kutztown, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in her residence. She was predeceased by her husband Todd W. Scherer.

Born in Wilmington, Delaware, she was the daughter of Margaret (Drachmas) Miller; and step-daughter of Robert G. Miller. Tammy attended Kutztown Area High School and graduated from Mahlon Technical School in North Carolina. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service, doing date entry. Tammy enjoyed movies, diamond art, and playing card and games.

Surviving in addition to her mother and step-father is her brother: William C. Pitman, husband of Angella, Jim Thorpe; step-sister: Denise (Skyriotis) Schmuhl, wife of Donny, San Tan Valley, Arizona; nephews and nieces: Christopher A., Ana, Abigail, Thespina, Bobby, Alexander and Nikitas; and great-nephew: Christopher M. She has two half-sisters: Alexandria Pitman; and Ciera (Pitman) Cogburn. Tammy was predeceased by her father: Tim Pitman; and sister: Mary Elizabeth (Betsy) Pitman.

Memorial services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at Church on the Hill, 217 Hottenstein Road, Kutztown, PA 19530. A visitation with the family will be held in the church Monday 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will be private in New Bethel Cemetery, Albany Twp., In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport, PA 19533 to assist the family with final expenses.
