Tami S. Dougherty, 52, of Perry Twp., died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp., where she was a patient since December 17, 2012. She was the wife of Lynn F. Dougherty.
Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of James and Delores (Kratzer) Schwartz, Kutztown. She was a graduate of Kutztown High School. Tami worked as a server for Dutch Valley Restaurant, Shoemakersville; and Schmeck's Restaurant, Windsor Twp. She was a member of Zion's Church, Perry Twp. Tami was an avid New York Yankees fan.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are three sons: Scott M. Dougherty, husband of Eileen, Edenburg, Windsor Twp.; Adam F. Dougherty, husband of Allison, Exeter Twp.; and Alex J. Dougherty, Perry Twp.; one daughter: Sherri L. (Dougherty), wife of Shawn Cooper, Schuylkill Haven; and seven grandchildren: Justin, Matthew, Dakota, Ellie, Kyleigh, Ryann, and Gavin. Tami is also survived by three sisters: Debra, wife of Lynn Dietrich, Krumsville; Jane, wife of Lynn Angstadt, Blandon; and Kelly, wife of Dennis Hullihen, Robertsdale, Alabama. She was predeceased by a brother: James Schwartz, Jr. Tami loved her "four-legged" grandchildren.
Services will be on Monday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will be in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Sunday 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
